The Stepping Stone April 2008 Update

Members of The Stepping Stone Foundation have continued their efforts locally and around the country, over the past several months.  Two area families continue to receive assistance from the foundation after losing homes to fires recently.  In addition volunteers returned to the gulf coast area last week with a truck load of supplies, including 1100 pounds of potatoes generously donated by a Potter county family.  Volunteers of the foundation are also making plans to attempt to respond to the disaster area left behind in the wake of the flooding in the country’s heartland.  Monetary donations continue to top the priority list to enable foundation efforts to continue.  Another load of potatoes between six and seven thousand pounds are expected to be moved by the foundation to areas affected by disasters in the upcoming weeks. Monetary donations to aid in facilitating these efforts are most graciously requested.

Stepping Stone Foundation Update

Members of the Stepping Stone foundation returned to southern Mississippi last week, and delivered approximately 5,000 pounds of potatoes.  Photos show bulk packs of the produce being unloaded at the Lakeshore Baptist church warehouse, and Lakeshore VFW.  Please continue to support this local charity as members continue to respond to disasters at home and around the country
